I recently watched a movie "Let the right one in" and I was really impressed with it. I also watched "Let me in" - the American remake which is basically the same thing. Seriously, it's almost exactly the same as the original, only some details changed.
Anyway, I'm reading the book too, so I wanted to make this little homage to this wonderful story.
I named the photo after the remake because I feel it fits better.

Should I add the mature content warning? I don't really know what's considered gory anymore.

Art theft is a crime - whenever you steal my photo, a baby unicorn dies. :(

Update
I honestly can't believe this. :faint: Thank you very, very much for this, it really means a lot to me. Your support gives me the strength to continue creating and learn more with every photo I take. Thank you for that. :tighthug:

I also need to thank *PutYourBraveFaceOn for suggesting and ^pullingcandy for featuring this. You are amazing.

The suggester says; "This is a very powerful conceptual piece. The action portrayed here is a result of a deeply hurt soul that reaches out and yearns for comfort and acceptance. There are so many people out there in the world, I always wonder how many of them hide beneath that brave smile a desperate cry for help. The irony of life ( which is captured here also ) makes the ones who are suffering have bloody hands way too often, rather than the ones who inflict their pain. So, I consider this a piece worthy of praise."

I love that movie (I saw the US version)!
Now, who did you kill in order to take this photo? :giggle:

Do you recommend reading the book? From what I know it's VERY different from the movie(s)! :reading:

YES, definitely read the book. You'll see that it's not just about the romance; it's deeper than that. John Ajvide Lindqvist did a great job on describing the problems of society in Sweden during the '80s by adding this hint of supernatural. It's not that different, but the movies focus on different things. I'd also recommend the Swedish version of the movie - it also helps to understand the story a bit better. :)

Nice job, I’ve only just discovered your artwork, but I like what I’ve seen so far, especially since you’ve done this picture “Let me in” that was fantastic movie. Well done, I like.
